UAB "Karbonas" has successfully completed the implementation of the project "Expansion of Export Markets and Increase of Sales in these Markets by UAB 'Karbonas'" (Project No. VP2-2.1-ŪM-04-K-01-506).

For the implementation of this project, the company received support from the European Union European Regional Development Fund under Priority 2 of the Economic Growth Action Programme "Increase of Business Productivity and Improvement of Business Environment" measure VP2-2.1-ŪM-04-K "New Opportunities" in the amount of up to 208,696.00 EUR (up to 70%).

The main activity of UAB "KARBONAS" is processing various sheet materials using modern technologies: waterjet cutting (the first in the Baltics), laser cutting, plasma cutting, and gas cutting; bending of blanks, welding of all materials with modern equipment, production of non-standard metal products from drawing to ready-to-operate installation. Currently, the company not only provides cutting services for details from aluminum, titanium, carbon, alloyed or stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, ceramics, marble, granite, and other materials, performs metal bending, mechanical processing, and welding works but also manufactures non-standard metal products from drawing to ready-to-operate installation.

In order to expand the company's sales in export markets, the project "Expansion of Export Markets and Increase of Sales in these Markets by UAB 'Karbonas'" was prepared and implemented. During the project, the company's activities and manufactured products were presented at 5 international exhibitions: Industrial Supply, Hannover, Germany (2010 04 19-23); Euroblech 2010, Hannover, Germany (2010 10 26-30); ELMIA Subcontractor, Jonkoping, Sweden (2010 11 09-12); Industrial Supply, Hannover, Germany (2011 04 04-08); ELMIA Subcontractor, Jonkoping, Sweden (2011 11 08-11). Marketing materials were distributed to potential partners during the exhibitions. In addition, targeted export market research was conducted, and an export development strategy for these markets was prepared.

The project's goal - to expand the company's export volumes to Germany, the Netherlands, and the Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Finland, Denmark) - has been achieved.
